Information you provide

If you email CoffeeShortlist, we receive the information contained in your message, such as your email address and any details you choose to provide. We use it to respond, evaluate corrections and manage editorial correspondence.

Analytics and consent

CoffeeShortlist uses Google Analytics 4, installed through Google Site Kit, to understand aggregate site usage. Depending on your location and consent choice, this may include page views, approximate location, browser and device information, referring pages, on-site interactions and privacy-conscious outbound affiliate-link events. CoffeeShortlist also uses Google Search Console to understand how pages appear in Google Search and Google Tag Manager to manage approved measurement tags.

Where consent is required, analytics and marketing storage are denied by default until you make a choice through the cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice through the cookie settings control. Necessary cookies may still be used for security, administration and core site functionality.

When you follow an affiliate link, the destination retailer may process information under its own privacy policy. CoffeeShortlist may record a privacy-conscious outbound-link event, but the retailer controls activity after you leave this website.

CoffeeShortlist does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers needed to host, secure, measure and operate the website, or disclosed when legally required.

Retention and choices

Editorial correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received. Analytics information is retained according to the settings of the connected Google Analytics property. We use Google Analytics to understand website visits, referral sources, engagement and clicks on affiliate links. Advertising storage and ad personalization are disabled. Analytics storage is denied by default for visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom and Switzerland, and when a supported Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal is present. In those cases Google tags may send limited, cookieless measurements. We do not send names, email addresses or purchase details to Google Analytics.
